| These terms of use were published on April 1st, 2026, and apply to end users of Internet Services connecting through Wifi and / or cable connections provided on hotel and office premises by members of PPHE Hotel Group through a third party internet services provider (“ISP”). “Internet Services” means any connection to the internet provided by the ISP contracted to any PPHE Hotel Group company made available free of charge or as part of a contractual relationship with any end user of those services. |

| These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Internet access service (“Internet Services”) provided on our hotel premises by any member of the PPHE Hotel Group of companies (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Internet Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Internet Services. |
This Privacy Notice explains how PPHE Hotel Group (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and processes personal data when you access or use our Internet Services. It is aligned with the categories and processing purposes set out in our general Privacy Notice. |
1. About the Internet Services
The Internet Services provide wireless and cable-connected access to the internet via various access points (“Hotspots”) located at our premises or other authorised locations. The underlying network infrastructure is provided to us by a third-party ISP.
We do not guarantee that the Internet Services (or any websites or services accessible through it) will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free or free from viruses.

1. Categories of Personal Data
We may process the following types of personal data:
- Device identifiers (MAC address, device type).
- Login and authentication data.
- Connection logs, timestamps and session durations.
- Network usage data (bandwidth, access attempts).
- Location of the hotspot where you connect.

2. Your eligibility to use the service
The Internet Services are made available to:
- Visitors, patrons and other customers using our premises; and
- Employees, contractors or authorised personnel of our organisation.
We may require you to register or log in using a username, password or other credentials. You must keep all access information secure and must not share it with anyone else.
We may disable any access credentials if we believe that you have breached these Terms or pose a risk to network security. |
2. Purpose of Processing
We process your data in order to:
- Provide access to the Internet Services.
- Authenticate and manage user sessions.
- Maintain network performance and security.
- Prevent fraud, misuse and unauthorised access.
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Your responsibilities when using the service
When using the Internet Services, you must:
- Ensure your device is safe, up-to-date and configured securely.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Use the Internet Services only for lawful and appropriate purposes.
- Follow any instructions we or the ISP provide relating to health, safety, security or network quality.
- Respect the rights, security and experience of other users.
You are responsible for all activity undertaken on the Internet Services through your access credentials.

3. Lawful basis
As required by law and set out in the Privacy Notice, all processing of personal data is done lawfully and in respect of your rights. The lawful basis for processing your personal data is:
- Performance of a contract (provision of Internet Services).
- Legitimate interests (network security, service quality).
- Legal obligations (law enforcement, regulatory compliance).

4. Prohibited uses
You must not use the Internet Services to:
- Access, transmit or store unlawful, harmful, defamatory, fraudulent, or material infringing applicable law or regulation.
- Infringe intellectual property rights.
- Gain unauthorised access to systems, data or networks.
- Distribute malware, viruses, harmful code or engage in hacking, spoofing or other malicious activity.
- Carry out any action that may impair, damage or disrupt the Internet Services or any Hotspot.
- Resell, share or otherwise provide access to the Internet Services to any third party. We and the ISP may apply filtering for child-protection or other lawful purposes.

4. Data Sharing
We may share your data with:
- Our ISP for operation and maintenance of the Internet Services.
- Law enforcement or authorities where required.
- IT and support providers acting under contract.

5. Service availability and support
The Internet Services may be unavailable from time to time due to:
- Maintenance or upgrades
- Network congestion
- Emergencies
- Failures of equipment or services outside our control
- Actions taken for security reasons
The ISP or partner networks may change, and access from some Hotspots may vary. We do not guarantee coverage at any specific location.
If you have issues at a Hotspot, you should first contact on-site staff; if they cannot assist, we may refer you to the ISP’s customer support. |
5. Data Retention
We retain Internet Services connection data only for as long as necessary to:
- Provide the Internet Services.
- Ensure network security.
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data. |
6. Suspension or termination of access
We may suspend or permanently block your access to the Internet Services, without notice, if:
- You breach these Terms;
- You use equipment that is defective, unsafe or illegal;
- You cause technical or operational issues;
- You engage in unlawful, fraudulent or unauthorised activity; or
- We are required to do so by law or by the ISP.
We may also suspend the Internet Services more broadly for operational, security or legal reasons. |
6. International Transfers
If data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place. |
7. Data protection and privacy
Your personal data may be processed for the purpose of providing the Internet Services, protecting network security, complying with legal obligations, and managing usage. Data processed may include device identifiers, usage logs, access credentials and other technical data required to deliver and maintain the Internet Services.

7. Your Rights
You have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or transfer of your personal data. You also have the right to object to certain processing.

8. Intellectual property
Any software or materials made available to you in connection with the Internet Services remain the property of us or our licensors. You may use them only as necessary to access and use the Internet Services, and you must not copy, modify or decompile them except where permitted by law. |

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will take effect when published on this page. Continued use of the Internet Services after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms |

11. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction over any dispute. |
